- 쉼터청소년의 새둥지화(BND) 수행경험에 관한 현상학적 연구 -
본 연구는 쉼터 청소년들의 새둥지화(BND) 수행 경험을 중심으로 그 의미를 알아보고자 van Manen의 해석학적 현상학적 방법을 적용하였다. 본 연구의 참여자는 청소년쉼터의 남녀 청소년 10명이다. 자료는 2015년 3월부터 5월까지 참여자가 수행한 BND와 면담에 의해 수집되었다. 전사한 자료를 읽으며 그들이 진술한 체험의 다양한 의미단위들(meaning units)을 기록하고, 반복되는 자료들을 묶어 의미구조(structure of meaning)를 파악하였다. 그 결과 5개의 본질적 주제와 13개의 하위 주제를 도출하였다. 본질적 주제는 <수행 거부 없이 그림을 그림>, <새둥지에서 살아가는 새들의 삶을 이야기 함>, <새들의 삶에서 현실의 나를 바라봄>, <내 역사의 아픈 한 조각을 드러냄>, <미래의 새로운 삶을 다짐함> 으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 쉼터의 청소년들은 첫째, 부담 없이 BND를 그리고 이야기를 구성하였고, 둘째, BND 이야기 구성을 통하여 그들은 가족의 갈등, 부모의 이혼으로 인해 경험해야 했던 버려짐과 위험, 불안, 학대에 관한 주제를 드러냈으며, 셋째, 그들은 새둥지라는 공간을 자신의 생활공간과 연결시켰고, 넷째, 새둥지라는 주제에서 보호와, 안전, 보살핌에 대해 새롭게 인식하고 치유의 과정을 경험하고 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다.
A Phenomenological Study on the Performance Experience of the Bird's Nest Drawing in Shelter Youths
This study aimed to investigate the meaning of the performance experience of the Bird's Nest Drawing(BND) in the shelter youths by applying the hermeneutic phenomenological method proposed by van Manen. The participants of this study were a total of 10 adolescents including boys and girls in a youth shelter. The data were collected from March to May, 2015, through the BND performed by the participants and the interviews. Various meaning units of their experiences stated by them were recorded, and repeated data were classified into groups by reading transcription data in order to identify the structure of meaning. As a result, 5 essential themes and 13 sub-themes were derived. The essential themes included 'drawing a picture without refusing to perform it,' 'talking about the life of the birds living in the bird's nest,' 'looking at me in real life through the life of birds,' 'revealing a painful piece of my history,' and 'making a commitment to live a new life in the future.' The results of this study are summarized as follows: First, the shelter youths created BND and constructed stories freely without inhibition. Second, through the BND constructed stories, they revealed the themes related to abandonment, danger, anxiety, and abuse that they had to experience due to the family conflict or parental divorce. Third, they linked a space called Bird's Nest with their living space, Fourth, study results indicated that the youths came to have a new perception about protection, safety, and care and were experiencing the process of healing through the theme of the bird's nest.
